"Love this product. The size is perfect and I love all the compartments."
"The overall bag is good but the strap is different. It doesn't have that strap shoulder pad in the middle of the bag it is closer to one of the strap sides and other side you can adjust, so when putting it over your shoulder you have to be cognizant of that."
"The Tech Gibson is great, just what I wanted. Small enought to fit under a seat on a plane but big enough to hold all I need. The pockets in the bag are well designed for carrying a laptop or ipad."
"Very happy with my new work bag."
"many compartments and pockets. good shoulder strap and handle. i can fit my macbook and a couple books in there."
"I’m happy with bag however strap that fits over luggage handle needs to be wider. On my suitcase it’s a very tight fight to get the strap over my suitcase handle."
"Well thought out and quality made, the material is light and durable with solid finish. Surprising amount of space for a laptop, sometimes a second laptop, umbrella, notebook, cables, pens, etc"
"I’m on my second Gibson Tech 18 bag, after a zipper failure in which Herschel kindly honoured their warranty program (thank you!). However, the quality of the bag I received is sub par, in no way the quality I’ve come to expect from a great Vancouver company. The striped lining they once used has been replaced with a cheap black material that not only has a horrible hand feel, but makes it hard to see the contents of my bag. They’ve upgraded the plastic clips on the crossbody strap, but eliminated the little elastic piece that keeps the loose end from flapping about. The pockets are also different, with less secure zippers and of course, less visibility since they are all solid black. I could go on, but I don’t think I need to. I hate the new version, and am considering suffering with my broken zipper on my previous bag instead. Hershel, you’ve already set the standard, please keep the bar high! This one isn’t cutting it! Disappointed."
"This is an update to my previous review, for the benefit of those who are repurchasing the Gibson Tech Messenger 18l bag. It’s not what it used to be. While several of the “updates” are just not my personal preference, it’s the change to the lining that frustrates me most. The trademark striped lining, with a smooth and soft hand feel is gone. In its place is an all black (so you can’t see anything in those pockets!) nylon material that may rival your local big box store. The elastic piece that holds the excess shoulder strap webbing no longer exists, so it flaps around with motion or wind. The little internal pockets no longer have the same multiple of zippered and secure spots, where I once kept my EarPods and my security badge, etc. The only positive update is the shoulder strap clips, which are slightly beefier than their former counterparts. I’m saddened by the cost cutting Herschel has allowed to affect their once high quality. Please bring the old style back!"
